You know, I thought the same thing about the fabric dryer sheet. When I worked at a place where lined wool pants and skirts were required, I bought this spray stuff that deionized my legs. That might work, too, if they can get the cat to hold still for it.
I've recommended the dryer sheet before. Unscented is best, one sheet should work for multiple applications. I'm not sure how a cat would take being sprayed with static guard...
My dental this morning turned into a "your cat is diabetic" talk. Ugggh.
